Manac launches
a new generation of aluminum flatbed at ExpoCam
Canada’s national
truck show, ExpoCam 2009, took place April 16-18
at Place Bonaventure in Montreal.
Manac took advantage
of this venue to launch its new generation of aluminum
flatbed, the Darkwing series. Entirely redesigned,
this quad-axle flatbed model that includes a self-steering
axle features disc brake technology, a technology
which is popular in Europe and gradually gaining
ground in North America. Manac, along with SAF Holland,
fielded many questions from Manac customers, who
showed a great deal of interest in this product.
In addition to its aluminum flatbed, Manac showcased
its 53-foot aluminum thin-wall van with a galvanized
steel interior and also equipped with disc brakes.
Interestingly this year, Manac was the only manufacturer
on site to exhibit a van since the other U.S. van
manufacturers decided not to attend the Montreal
show.
ExpoCam attracted close to 16,000 trucking
industry professionals and, despite the economic
situation, Manac was able to connect with its loyal
clientele, close deals and meet potential customers.
