1966   Manac Inc. is founded in St. Georges, Quebec. The company operates in a barn behind the house of founder Marcel Dutil. Eleven units are manufactured that year.

1972   Manac Inc. acquires Canam Steel, and The Canam Manac Group is formed.

1974   Opening of the first sales office and service center in Boucherville.

1977   Manac starts manufacturing its first FRP vans.

1982   Manac manufactures its first galvanized-steel vans.

1986   Manac designs and builds its first aluminum vans.

1989   Manac launches two innovative products: soft-sider platforms and chip semitrailers equipped with steel walls.

1991   Manac manufactures its first combo (steel and aluminum) flatbeds.

1994   Manac inaugurates its Orangeville, ON plant. This 138,000-square-foot facility will manufacture standard dry vans for the North American market.

2000   Manac launches its first all-aluminum flatbed in September, becoming the only semitrailer manufacturer to offer a complete line of platform trailers: the steel model, the combo (steel and aluminum) and the all-aluminum model.

At the end of December, Manac acquires the canadian assets of semitrailer manufacturer Kalyn-Siebert. The deal sees Manac acquire a 100,000-square-foot plant, the Fabrex trademark as well as a certain amount of raw material and finished products in inventory. Manufacturing operations for the new aluminum flatbed will be done at this location.

In December, Manac opens a new service center and sales office in Mississauga, Ontario. The new facility, located in the heart of the Ontario Transportation Center, includes five semitrailer repair bays.

2002   Manac acquires the assets of semitrailer manufacturer CPS Trailers Inc. in Oran, Missouri. This is Manac’s first plant in the United States.

2003   Definitive closure of the Manac plant in Orangeville, Ontario.

2004   The Canam Manac Group Inc. announces its decision to focus on construction activities and to sell off its semitrailer division. Manac Inc., a private company, is founded to buy the assets of this division.

2006   Manac marks its fortieth anniversary by holding a day of activities for all Manac employees at the St. Georges plant.

2007   In the summer of 2007, the new Kennett, MO plant produces it’s first flatbeds.

2009   Manac purchases the intellectual property, tooling and raw materials following the bankruptcy of Trailmobile Canada and the subsequent acquisition from Trailmobile Corporation.

2010   The Trailmobile ULTRAPLATE composite Dry Van is now available from Manac's Kennett, MO assembly plant.
